Data Usage Monitor

Data Usage monitor is a jailbreak tweak which does what it says, monitor your data. It does this by using the clock on your status bar, to switch in and out with statistics about how much data you’ve used since your last statistic reset. It also has a pretty neat feature which will disable, or ask if you want to disable, your cellular/3G data network when you reach a certain data limit. For example, if I had a 1GB data limit, I would set it to 990MB, and my data would be disabled if  I reached this peak.

Data Usage Monitor is available for $1.99 from the BigBoss Repo.

Camera Grabber for iOS 5 – iOS 5.1 Camera Lock

With the release of iOS 5.1, one of the most renowned featured was the addition of the camera slider on your lockscreen. This removed the need to double tap your homebutton, thus making it quicker and more efficient. However all of the world’s jailbreakers sighed with slight annoyance, at the fact that they would have to keep the home-button-killing camera shortcut, if they wanted to retain their jailbreak.

That is no longer the case! Camera Grabber for iOS 5 brings support for the very same lockscreen, for devices on iOS 5/5.0.1 firmware. It’s here, and I like it!

It’s available for free from Cydia’s ModMyi Repo.

These tweak developed by Ryan Petrich & Nikos brings an exciting feature to the iPhone/iPod. They give the ability to receive and send any type of files to and from your device. This is esspecially useful for files such as .deb files, which allow cydia packages to be installed to your device without launching cydia.

As useful as these tweaks will be for certain people, this is definitely not a necessity, and I can’t see an end user who jailbreaks mainly for the fun of it getting any real functional out of these two.

ReceiveAny is available for free, SendAny will set you back $2.99 both in the BigBoss repo.
